Two zesty powertrains are available in the 2021 Q5. Its entry-level comes standard with a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that makes 261 horsepower and 273 pound-feet of torque. Using the same turbo-four engine, the plug-in hybrid (PHEV) model combines this powertrain with an electric motor to deliver 362 horsepower and 369 pound-feet torque. Both engines come with a seven-speed automatic transmission and Quattro all-wheel drive.
Fuel Economy
EPA estimates the 2021 Q5 to earn 23 mpg in the city and 28 mpg on the highway. The Q5 plug-in hybrid model gets a combined 50 MPG-equivalent and an all-electric driving range of 19 miles.
Interior
Inside, the cabin of the Q5 is a great place to be. Classy and modern, the cabin is packed with loads of tech and safety features and remains uncluttered.
